After five years of operating the Ecovillage Ecological Machine for sewage treatment, the SENS Program is expanding its research and teaching efforts by constructing a single-house version of the ecomachine to treat the waste from the SENS House, while converting the large ecomachine to an aquaponics (aquaculture integrated with hydroponics) facility.
